Established in 1979, Mars Metal Company manufactures specialized lead products for customers in a variety of industries worldwide. When it comes to new elevator construction rarely are lead counterweights specified, they are typically steel counterweights.  However, when the needs change and an existing elevator’s capacity must be increased then steel is not the first choice due to the limited stack headroom. Mars Metal overcomes this with custom fabricated lead counterweight plates to your exact needs. With lead denser than steel by approx. 40% there is a significant space savings. This allows the existing steel or cast-iron weights to be replaced as needed. Our highly skilled sales team and engineering staff will work with you to design a solution, MANUFACTURER in HOUSE the required weight(s) and deliver them to the site when you need them. LEAD COUNTERWEIGHTS: Mars Metal can supply lead elevator Counterweight in various size, thickness and weights. We start by creating a custom laser cut mold to your exact needs from the drawings you provide. We then pour molten alloyed lead or pure lead and then crack these weights from the mold and place them on a skid where they are wrapped strapped and shipped directly to your site. Painting of the weights can be done if required as an optional extra.

STEEL FILLER WEIGHTS OR COUNTERWEIGHTS Mars Metal can supply all steel elevator Counterweights in various size, thickness and weights. Our steel is a sourced secondary steel plate that is obtained at a very low cost allowing us to pass the savings onto our customers. Our Steel weights are flame cut to your exact needs from the drawings you provide. Our value-added services include any fabrication and finishing, including flame cutting, welding and painting. This enables us to meet any demand for our customers.

STEEL ELEVATOR TEST WEIGHT CARTS Our All Steel Elevator Test Weight Carts are designed with a 500 lb. capacity. Open box top design with 8 - individual cut steel weights at 50 lbs. each with cut profile lifting handle. (hand weights are unpainted). Each weight will have the capacity weight hand stamped into each weight. Box includes a 3/4” steel rod that serves as a locking bar (Lock and keys included). Unit mounted on 2 solid rubber tires.
